I followed the suggestion to write about something I know about; I grew up on a ranch in Eastern Montana in the 1960’s so that’s the setting I chose for my protagonist. Allie’s lifestyle is historically accurate and based on my family’s life at that time. However, Allie’s experiences are wholly imaginary.
